permit bullets to pass through wooden walls and crates. It's been a long time since any of us were impressed with a bullet passing through glass or chickenwire, but the physics in I.G.I. Weapon effects are also strongly tied to the environment. While you'll have plenty of opportunity to blast your way through the opposition, the smart player puts this confrontation off until the last minute. like Soldier of Fortune or even No One Lives Forever just won't work. It's not necessarily Rainbow Six or anything, but the enemies take just as much damage as you before they die, which is to say, not a lot. One of the best things about the weapon modeling in the game is that the enemies seem to be carrying weapons every bit as powerful as your own. And the ubiquitous Uzi and hunting knife put in an appearance as well. You can also try your luck with the two shotguns in the game - the Spas-12 and the Jackhammer. But hating Commie guns cuts you out of the loop for the Minimi. There are also MP5s and M16s in the game if you're against using Communist guns. It makes much more sense to fire in short bursts. When you've got the trigger held down, it's very difficult to keep the crosshair on your target. I especially like the way that the AK-47 pulls up and to the right as you fire. The difference between firing an AK-47 and firing a Minimi is profound. The Colt Anaconda, the Desert Eagle and the Glock 17 aren't exactly carbon copies of each other, but there's a lot more difference among the automatic rifles in the game. The three pistols probably share the most similarities in terms of performance and feel. Normally when I see twelve different weapons in a game, I assume that there's going to be a little redundancy. The weapon effects are really first rate. Going from the boundless vistas of the outdoors to the labyrinthine complexity of warehouses and secret bases is a thrill - even more so when you don't have to wait for the game to load the new "inside" level. is one of only a handful of games that can manage the transition from outdoor to indoor architecture with ease. Luckily the game levels are populated by lots of water towers so you can climb up and get a really good view of the surrounding countryside. The draw depth when you're outside is amazing. While there are some small clipping problems in our build, the geometry of the environments is staggering.
